Privacy Please.


1. Our medical records should be digitally stored online for all medical professionals to access within the hospital when needed. 


            I agree that our medical records should be digitally stored online, although they should  still be physically stored in a file cabinet somewhere. This allows easy access and availability for doctors and nurses anywhere in the hospital in case of  urgent times when they cannot run across the building to reach a patients file. This also just makes every ones life easier.

 2. Voting should be done 100% online for both provincial and federal elections starting in 2017. 

          I disagree with this statement as to me it seems a bit risky and dangerous. Both federal and provincial elections are serious events that if the results were, per say 'meddled with', then disaster could strike. If voting suddenly became done 100% online, it would be way easier for some experienced hacker to come in and mess up the results in their favor and we might end up with another 2016 election scandal. 

 4. Schools in 2020 should be closed and teachers and students should begin learning in virtual classrooms using digital technology at home.

          This in my mind is not a very good idea. Sure students could learn in the comfort of their own homes but then it would be a lot easier for students to slack off, not do their work, and maybe even quit school. Plus this makes learning a lot harder for students who need physical contact and examples from teachers to succeed in their education.

My Basic Automobile Design

Freeze Machine*         I decided to use a van/SUV type of body style to base my design off of, I got the idea of designing a little ice cream truck then went from there. Some features that I would want included in the final design that I may not have been able to include in this basic first phase design are just little things like doors on the sides and in the back, a sliding door that opens up the side window, and added details on things like the ice cream cone on the top. I will name my car the Freeze Machine* and I think perhaps an ice cream company paired with any car manufacturer would be best suited to introduce my car into the industry. Any type of driver that sells ice cream would most likely find my car appealing as it would attract attention to their company. I would place this assignment at a 6/10 for difficulty as it took a bit of time to get used to Tinkercad's controls and to come up with a creative idea for the design.

Journal Entry #3: Digital Rights and Responsibilities

      What I find to be the most surprising when it comes to digital rights and responsibilities is how little people pay attention to them. Many times, as I am scrolling through Facebook or Instagram,  I see so many disrespectful comments, post and statuses, sometimes even directed towards specific people. However, I do believe that most people do act responsibly online, posting to share with their friends and family, commenting positive things, and thinking before they post.  If I had to pick one commandment out of the ten I created, the most important to me would be,  " Thou shall respect people of other languages, cultures, sexual orientation and religion while online." I think this one is the most important as I see the most hate spread about these topics on social medias.
